Since childhood, he would travel with his family extensively across the length and breadth of India via roads in their self driven vehicle; the journeys left a strong impression on his mind, and were a major force inspiring him to work for the conservation of the world's beautiful heritage as a filmmaker documenting India's most unexplored regions.〔DNA News Network.
